our Story and Values
Isabel Ramberg, the founder of Amico Lane, experienced the frustrations of both self-management as well as hiring a property manager for her 8-unit building in the Shaw neighborhood in Washington D.C. After interviewing friends and neighbors who live in condominiums of all sizes, she heard similar complaints. Isabel was quickly inspired to build a management company that offers a premier experience to boutique condo associations, and Amico Lane was born!
Our core values reflect the ideas of a company inspired and Started By condo owners

Unbiased Leadership: We lead through trust and confidence. We act like “owners” of our properties, ensuring diligence, long-term thinking, and financial soundness.
Proactive Problem Solvers: We think ahead and plan accordingly and proactively. We create efficient paths forward to solve problems and safeguard the property values for our customers.
Together Partnership: We are in this together. Our managers, contractors, and clients - it is a team effort. We have empathy for one another and know that no one can do it alone.
Build Community: We want our managers and contractors to be familiar faces. Our managers know their properties and help residents to work together efficiently.
Beyond the Status Quo: We are always asking how we can make things better. We constantly look to improve our ways and seek and implement feedback from our stakeholders.
WHY WE'RE CALLED AMICO LANE?
Amico (pronounced "aMEco") means friend in Italian. We strongly believe when neighbors are friendly, not only is there a great community, but the most difficult conflicts are easier to solve. We not only want to maintain the health of our client's buildings and ensure the bylaws are followed but help associations have great communication, have effective board teams, and encourage neighbors to help each other to create an inviting community.
